SlowTalk: Do you have a problem, or does the problem have you?
Details
Problems are an inevitable part of our lives. Whether they arise within a family, among friends, with colleagues, authorities, or strangers, the way we approach and deal with them can have a significant impact on our well-being and success.
During this conversation we will explore how problems can affect our lives—for better or for worse—and what we can do about problems before they get out of hand. We are likely to discover some underlying beliefs and assumptions that determine our responses to problems and gain new perspectives and insights:
- How is it possible that something is a problem for one person but not for another?
- Do our thoughts and emotions influence how we deal with problems?
- Is it better to avoid problems in the first place or to tackle them head-on?
- How important are people you trust in helping you through difficult situations?
- What can we learn from problems?
During this interactive and dynamic conversation, we strive to create a safe and respectful environment in which everyone feels comfortable to contribute their thoughts and experiences, while others listen respectfully and with empathy.
The ability to deal with problems effectively is an essential skill that can improve both our personal and professional lives. By participating in this conversation, we can learn from each other and develop a more proactive approach to taking control of our lives.
